Editor's Review

Wild Waters is Mombasa's premier waterpark, offering a sprawling aquatic playground designed to provide relief from the intense coastal heat. Located conveniently within the city, it serves as a major hub for family entertainment, though visitors should be prepared for a lively, high-energy environment that caters primarily to children and teens.

For those looking for a more relaxed or budget-friendly coastal experience, consider visiting the nearby public beaches in Nyali or Bamburi, which offer free access to the Indian Ocean and a chance to enjoy the sea breeze without the cost of a waterpark entrance fee.

The Cost: Entry is approximately KSH 1,700 per person, which covers a one-off fee for unlimited access to all water activities. Food and drinks at the onsite restaurant are available at standard, manageable prices, though they are not considered budget-cheap.

The Experience: The park is a high-energy zone characterized by tiled, wet surfaces that require caution. Visitors should expect a mix of standing in lines for slides and active swimming. While the infrastructure is paved and accessible, it is best suited for those comfortable with physical activity and water-based movement.

What you can get: You can enjoy over 15 thrilling water activities, including high-speed water slides, a dedicated children's play area, and various pools for cooling off. Onsite dining facilities provide a convenient spot to grab refreshments between sliding sessions.

Wild Waters is a fantastic destination for those who love water sports and family-oriented fun. While it requires vigilance regarding personal items and can get crowded, the sheer variety of slides and the refreshing atmosphere make it a staple Mombasa experience for anyone looking to beat the heat.

Being the biggest WaterPark in Kenya, makes it more attractive and also adds on the activities for one to do when in Mombasa to help in cooling down from the hot Tempereatures in the coast, also having onsite restaurants makes it an all inclusive family spot where kids can have fun also adults that just want to chill and sip on their drinks. I highly recommend it.

Best family fun place. 90% children and teens but adults or parents are allowed to join in too. Pay a one off fee and enjoy all available water activities. Best part: Water slide. Caution: There are petty thieves if you leave your bags unattended. Shortly when i rushed to the washrooms, Someone actually emptied my packet of juice and left, leaving a squeezed packet on the table 🤣. Food and drink prices are manageable (not cheap).

If you need a thrilling experience, this is the place. The first time I was there was last year 2024 but I didn't do any sliding or water events but my young ones and their dad did. When they discussed of how a great experience it was, I decided to participate this time. Get it from the horses mouth 🐴- it was thrilling. The first time I visited the red water slide, oh my God! My heart almost left my body. After two three times, I became a champ 💪. At least my Ksh 1700 was not in vain. I felt bad though because some of my friends couldn't afford to pay the fee for sliding perhaps they could come up with a smaller amount for the fee and limit the time. But I loved the place

The place is good though not as my expectations. It looked great on video. Less activities, hiegen issue around the washrooms. Customers should be prompted to take shower before the use the activities.

It's a good place to spend some time if you're an aquatic freak. One can easily spend a whole day here.

The Wild Heart of the Savannah

In 2026, the best safari isn't the one with the most lion sightings; it's the one in a private conservancy where you're the only vehicle for miles. The Maasai Mara, Samburu, and Tsavo remain the cornerstone of any Kenyan journey. We recommend focusing on the conservancies where private concessions limit vehicle numbers, ensuring a truly intimate encounter with the Great Migration and the rare Northern Species like the Grevy's zebra.

Coastal Serenity & Marine Magic

From the white sands of Watamu to the mystical lanes of Lamu Old Town, the Kenyan coast offers a blend of Swahili heritage and marine biodiversity. 2026 sees a massive surge in kitesurfing and ocean-to-plate dining experiences that prioritize small-scale local fishermen. Discover Diani for world-class luxury and Kilifi for the artistic soul.

The High-Altitude Challenge

Kenya's mountains offer some of the most rigorous and rewarding trekking in Africa. Mt. Kenya, the Aberdares, and the various escarpments of the Rift Valley go beyond the typical safari experience. As the lead authority in Kenyan hiking, we provide essential data on trail conditions, elevation gain, and the best-vetted local guides to ensure your safety and enjoyment.
