Editor's Review

Funworld at Juja City Mall is a vibrant family destination situated directly within the mall complex in Kiambu, making it an incredibly accessible spot for residents and visitors alike. Unlike remote parks, you won't need a 4x4 or hiking gear here; the entire facility is paved and designed for easy navigation, though it can become quite busy during peak weekend hours.

If you are looking for a budget-friendly value tip, keep an eye out for the Pizza City offers on-site or take advantage of the 'buy five, get one free' ticket deal, which significantly lowers the cost for larger families or groups of friends.

The Cost: Pricing is structured per activity and ride rather than a flat entry fee, with early-morning discounts available. Expect to pay modest fees for the 25m swimming pool and individual amusement rides, while meals at the adjacent Maxland hotel cater to a range of mid-range budgets.

The Experience: The experience is centered on active leisure, featuring a well-maintained 25-meter swimming pool and a variety of mechanical rides. The terrain is entirely flat and paved, making it stroller-friendly and easy for children to move between the play areas and the food court without any physical strain.

What you can get: You can get access to a clean, professionally supervised swimming pool, a diverse range of kids' amusement rides, and hearty meals from the Maxland hotel or local pizza outlets. The facility offers a rare combination of retail convenience and outdoor play, perfect for a stress-free family day out.

Ultimately, Funworld Juja City Mall provides a reliable and fun-filled environment for families. While the amenities are excellent for the price point, visitors should be prepared for potential weekend crowds and plan their arrival early to secure the best value and space.

Funworld has the potential to be a bustling hub every day, especially during school holidays and weekends, from the kids' play areas to the Maxland food court. With its newly renovated swimming pool, it could easily become a go-to spot for both new and longtime residents of Juja. While Saturdays may be the highlight with happy hour rides, introducing bundled offers that include the restaurant and swimming pool could provide even more value for families. There is room for improvement in the rides section, but it is still a good family spot.

Great place for fun both adults and kids. Nice 25m pool. The pool is clean and well maintained too. Great instructors. It can get a bit crowded on weekends. Lavatories should do with a bit more throughout cleaning and maintenance. Can have great meals on site from Maxland hotel.

Everything You Need to Know About Discovering Kenya

As we move deeper into 2026, the definition of travel is evolving. No longer content with superficial sightings, the modern traveler seeks depth, purpose, and local engagement. This guide is curated to help you navigate the diverse ecosystems of Kenya—from our high-altitude massifs to our hidden coastal creek retreats and exclusive conservation-first conservancies.

The Wild Heart of the Savannah

In 2026, the best safari isn't the one with the most lion sightings; it's the one in a private conservancy where you're the only vehicle for miles. The Maasai Mara, Samburu, and Tsavo remain the cornerstone of any Kenyan journey. We recommend focusing on the conservancies where private concessions limit vehicle numbers, ensuring a truly intimate encounter with the Great Migration and the rare Northern Species like the Grevy's zebra.

Coastal Serenity & Marine Magic

From the white sands of Watamu to the mystical lanes of Lamu Old Town, the Kenyan coast offers a blend of Swahili heritage and marine biodiversity. 2026 sees a massive surge in kitesurfing and ocean-to-plate dining experiences that prioritize small-scale local fishermen. Discover Diani for world-class luxury and Kilifi for the artistic soul.

The High-Altitude Challenge

Kenya's mountains offer some of the most rigorous and rewarding trekking in Africa. Mt. Kenya, the Aberdares, and the various escarpments of the Rift Valley go beyond the typical safari experience. As the lead authority in Kenyan hiking, we provide essential data on trail conditions, elevation gain, and the best-vetted local guides to ensure your safety and enjoyment.
