Editor's Review
Nandi Flame Hotel & Spa offers a functional, no-frills stopover for travelers navigating the Nandi-Kapsabet route. While it provides a vital service for those caught in transit or curfew, visitors should be aware that ground-floor rooms can feel dark due to their proximity to boundary walls, and infrastructure like bathroom fixtures can be hit-or-miss.
For a budget-friendly alternative or a bit of local flavor, consider exploring the nearby tea estates of Nandi Hills, which offer stunning, free scenic walks and a breath of fresh air after a long drive.
The Cost: Accommodation rates are highly competitive, typically ranging between KSH 2,500 and KSH 3,000 per night, inclusive of breakfast. Menu items are reasonably priced for local travelers, though it is best to carry cash or have M-Pesa ready for all transactions.
The Experience: Visiting here is straightforward and low-intensity; it is designed for resting rather than high-energy activities. The terrain is flat and accessible, though some rooms may present minor physical accessibility challenges due to tight door frames or maintenance issues.
What you can get: You can expect reliable, homemade-style hot meals that feature fresh ingredients like parsley, comfortable, soft bedding, and basic hotel amenities. It serves as a practical base for resting during long road trips.
In summary, Nandi Flame is a solid investment for the practical traveler who prioritizes location and a warm meal over luxury, provided you manage your expectations regarding room maintenance.

Daniel's Advice
"The food is a highlight; if you are passing through, stop specifically for the hot, homemade meals that taste like a home-cooked Kenyan kitchen."
Things to Consider
Room maintenance and layout can be inconsistent, so inspect your bathroom drainage and door clearance before fully settling in.

I was on Nandi Hills - Kapsabet road for a road trip and stopped here for food. Nandi Fame Hotel & Spa has the best hot and fresh food. You can smell the parsley in the food. The service is great. I would recommend it to anyone looking for that homemade food almost like from your mother's own hands.

For a location out of town, in the village and towards farms, I would say that this is a great investment for travelers along the Nandi- Kapsabet route. In case you are caught up during the curfew time, could be good accommodation for you and your family. It is an unusual surprise in Nandi town. They could use a great chef though for the meals.

Very soft beds 🛌 so thats a minus. And bathroom door barely opens so i could not even fit through the door. There is a restaurant in front that seed nice. However in day time it wasn't working.

Fantastic accomodation ranging from 2,500 to 3,000 bed and breakfast. The breakfasts is average. There is wifi but it's weak and can only be accessed at the reception. Otherwise it is great accomodation for anyone in Kapsabet
