Editor's Review
Nairobi Club stands as a prestigious, historical institution nestled right in the heart of the capital. This private country club offers an oasis of calm, characterized by its elegant architecture and mature, serene grounds. Access is restricted to members and their guests, ensuring an exclusive and quiet environment that feels worlds away from the city's chaotic traffic.
If the formal dining experience feels too restrictive or expensive, consider exploring the nearby Uhuru Park for a budget-friendly walk or a casual picnic in the greenery, which provides a similar sense of open space without the membership requirements.
The Cost: Membership fees are private and tiered; however, for non-members visiting as guests, expect to pay between KSH 1,500 and KSH 3,500 per person for a standard meal and drinks. Always carry M-Pesa as it is the primary and most efficient method of payment for all services.
The Experience: Visiting the club is a leisurely affair focused on relaxation and networking. The terrain is entirely paved and flat, making it perfectly accessible for all ages. There is very little physical exertion required, as the experience is designed around sitting, dining, and engaging in light social or team-building activities on the manicured lawns.
What you can get: You can expect a refined, old-school ambiance that is rare in modern Nairobi. Highlights include the tranquil garden views, the historical library-like architecture, and a menu that features classic, well-prepared dishes. It is a fantastic venue for quiet, uninterrupted conversation or professional team-building sessions.
Ultimately, Nairobi Club is a relic of a bygone era that offers a dignified, quiet retreat for those who value exclusivity. While the service can be slow and the food quality occasionally inconsistent, the sheer character and peaceful atmosphere of the club make it a unique urban sanctuary for those who can secure an invitation.

A good place to do team building activities and sports activities, they have amazing staffs and very nice customer service, the food though i wouldn't recommend it. It wasn't fresh or delicious at all.

Nairobi Club has very serene and beautiful grounds. I enjoy the food and the exclusive experience. The only downside is that sometimes the food takes too long once the order has been placed. Also, the service can be a bit slow. It takes a while before a waiter comes to your table to take your order.

A charming private country club steeped in rich history. It's quiet and relaxing yet located in the heart of the city. It feels old school and one could argue that it's in need of an upgrade but it's those elements about it that give it much character as well.
