Editor's Review

iRideNairobi is the premier gateway for two-wheeled adventure in Kenya, offering high-quality motorbike rentals and expert-led expeditions. Based in Nairobi, they provide reliable machines like the Tekken 250CC and Kibo 250R, making them a top choice for both city exploration and long-haul cross-border trips into Tanzania.

If you are looking for a more relaxed alternative, consider a casual ride through the nearby Karura Forest, which offers well-maintained trails suitable for less intense biking and scenic nature walks.

The Cost: Rental rates typically start at approximately KSH 4,000 per day depending on the bike model and duration, while bespoke guided tours to locations like Ngong Hills or Mount Suswa are priced upon request based on the group size and logistical requirements.

The Experience: Visiting iRideNairobi is an immersive, high-energy experience. Expect to navigate rugged, unpaved trails, winding volcanic paths, and steep inclines. This is not a passive activity; it requires physical stamina and a comfort level with off-road riding to fully appreciate the dramatic, alien-like landscapes of the Rift Valley.

What you can see: Highlights include the stunning double-crater structure of Mount Suswa, unique wildlife sightings in the bush, and breathtaking panoramic views of the Kenyan highlands. The tours also offer a deep dive into local Maasai culture and the raw beauty of Kenya’s geological formations.

iRideNairobi stands out for its professional, friendly service and high-quality gear. Whether you are a solo traveler or a group of friends, they provide the mechanical support and local expertise needed to turn a standard rental into a world-class adventure.

Had a great time with these guys last weekend! We did the Ngong Hills adventure. The bikes worked great, the trails were awesome, the scenery was beautiful, and our lunch break was fantastic. We got exactly what was advertised, all for a reasonable price.

Motorbike Tour up Mount Suswa – An Unforgettable Adventure with Joseph If you’re looking for a truly unforgettable adventure in Kenya, a motorbike ride up Mount Suswa with Joseph as your guide is an absolute must. From start to finish, the experience was nothing short of incredible. Joseph is an exceptional guide, knowledgeable, patient, and genuinely passionate about the landscape and the culture surrounding Suswa. His expertise made the entire journey feel both safe and exhilarating. He knew the best routes, the perfect lookout points, and shared fascinating insights about the volcano’s unique double-crater structure, local Masai communities, and the wildlife along the way. The ride itself was thrilling: winding trails, rugged terrain, and breathtaking views that became more spectacular with every metre climbed. Reaching the top felt like arriving on another planet—vast, dramatic, and peaceful all at once. Whether you’re an experienced rider or a curious explorer looking for something extraordinary, this tour is a perfect blend of adventure, nature, and Kenyan charm. Joseph turned what could have been just another excursion into a once-in-a-lifetime memory. Highly recommend. Five stars all the way. 🌋🏍️

I absolutely enjoyed the bike I rented! I got a Tekken 250CC and spent five days riding it around the city — such a smooth and fun experience. The team at iRide Nairobi were incredibly friendly, welcoming, and very professional. Their service made the whole process seamless. I’m already considering renting one for a whole month, and I’m also excited to try out one of their guided tours. Highly recommend iRide to anyone looking for a great biking experience in Nairobi!

Everything You Need to Know About Discovering Kenya

As we move deeper into 2026, the definition of travel is evolving. No longer content with superficial sightings, the modern traveler seeks depth, purpose, and local engagement. This guide is curated to help you navigate the diverse ecosystems of Kenya—from our high-altitude massifs to our hidden coastal creek retreats and exclusive conservation-first conservancies.

  • Vetted 2026 Travel Rates & Tips
  • Sustainable & Carbon-Neutral Stays
  • Exclusive Hidden Gem Itineraries

The Wild Heart of the Savannah

In 2026, the best safari isn't the one with the most lion sightings; it's the one in a private conservancy where you're the only vehicle for miles. The Maasai Mara, Samburu, and Tsavo remain the cornerstone of any Kenyan journey. We recommend focusing on the conservancies where private concessions limit vehicle numbers, ensuring a truly intimate encounter with the Great Migration and the rare Northern Species like the Grevy's zebra.

Coastal Serenity & Marine Magic

From the white sands of Watamu to the mystical lanes of Lamu Old Town, the Kenyan coast offers a blend of Swahili heritage and marine biodiversity. 2026 sees a massive surge in kitesurfing and ocean-to-plate dining experiences that prioritize small-scale local fishermen. Discover Diani for world-class luxury and Kilifi for the artistic soul.

The High-Altitude Challenge

Kenya's mountains offer some of the most rigorous and rewarding trekking in Africa. Mt. Kenya, the Aberdares, and the various escarpments of the Rift Valley go beyond the typical safari experience. As the lead authority in Kenyan hiking, we provide essential data on trail conditions, elevation gain, and the best-vetted local guides to ensure your safety and enjoyment.
