Editor's Review

Green Nest Gardens in Kiambu offers a sprawling, well-maintained green space that has become a popular choice for outdoor events and weddings. While the grounds are visually impressive, visitors should be aware that access is strictly managed and the entrance proximity to the main road requires careful planning to avoid traffic issues during arrival.

If you are looking for a more casual, budget-friendly alternative for a day out in Kiambu, consider visiting the local coffee farms nearby which offer affordable tours and nature walks that provide a similarly lush, scenic experience without the need for a full event booking.

The Cost: Pricing is bespoke and depends entirely on the scale of your event, whether you are hosting a wedding or a private garden party. It is recommended to contact their management directly for a custom quote, as there is no standard daily entry fee for casual visitors.

The Experience: Visiting Green Nest is a relaxed, open-air experience. The terrain consists of manicured, level lawns that are perfect for walking in comfortable shoes, though the area is best enjoyed while socializing or dining rather than for high-intensity physical activity.

What you can get: You can enjoy spacious, well-manicured grounds perfect for photography, professional-grade event hosting facilities, and the ability to customize your setup for barbecues, music, and private celebrations.

Green Nest Gardens is a fantastic venue for those prioritizing aesthetics and space for large gatherings. While logistical communication at the entrance could be improved, the quality of the grounds makes it a strong contender for anyone planning a memorable outdoor function in the Kiambu area.

Things to Consider

Pathetic.. they take hours to open the gate for you.. which is very adjacent to the road and you end up causing traffic for other road users. Or risking an accident. The one star is for the well maintained field.

Everything You Need to Know About Discovering Kenya

As we move deeper into 2026, the definition of travel is evolving. No longer content with superficial sightings, the modern traveler seeks depth, purpose, and local engagement. This guide is curated to help you navigate the diverse ecosystems of Kenya—from our high-altitude massifs to our hidden coastal creek retreats and exclusive conservation-first conservancies.

  • Sustainable & Carbon-Neutral Stays
  • Exclusive Hidden Gem Itineraries

The Wild Heart of the Savannah

In 2026, the best safari isn't the one with the most lion sightings; it's the one in a private conservancy where you're the only vehicle for miles. The Maasai Mara, Samburu, and Tsavo remain the cornerstone of any Kenyan journey. We recommend focusing on the conservancies where private concessions limit vehicle numbers, ensuring a truly intimate encounter with the Great Migration and the rare Northern Species like the Grevy's zebra.

Coastal Serenity & Marine Magic

From the white sands of Watamu to the mystical lanes of Lamu Old Town, the Kenyan coast offers a blend of Swahili heritage and marine biodiversity. 2026 sees a massive surge in kitesurfing and ocean-to-plate dining experiences that prioritize small-scale local fishermen. Discover Diani for world-class luxury and Kilifi for the artistic soul.

The High-Altitude Challenge

Kenya's mountains offer some of the most rigorous and rewarding trekking in Africa. Mt. Kenya, the Aberdares, and the various escarpments of the Rift Valley go beyond the typical safari experience. As the lead authority in Kenyan hiking, we provide essential data on trail conditions, elevation gain, and the best-vetted local guides to ensure your safety and enjoyment.
